Climbing for Good: Adaptive Climbing Group
Our Climbing for Good Initiative
Coeur Climbing is pleased to announce another addition to our Climbing for Good Initiative! Originally designed to highlight our commitment to invest back into our community that has welcomed us so warmly, this initiative only makes our local climbing scene flourish with more and more awareness brought to those participating organizations. We're very happy to now include the Adaptive Climbing Group to this trove of benevolence!
About ACG
The Adaptive Climbing Group is a non-profit organization that seeks to provide affordable climbing experiences for individuals with disabilities. Adaptive climbing opens up the sport to climbers with physical, visual, or cognitive disabilities, giving them access to the same strength, confidence, and community that climbing offers everyone else.
With over 1000 participants annually, ACG is the largest national adaptive climbing program in the US as it offers opportunities for people of all ages and abilities, including indoor, outdoor, ice, rock and even international competition climbing! Our own Mason Keough is a member of ACG, as the organization has helped him travel internationally for a variety of IFSC comps across the globe on his journey to become a world champion!
Want to Help? Keep Reading!
To this end, Coeur Climbing will be introducing a volunteer donation campaign attached to every transaction where all funds collected will go to the ACG and their campaign to help individuals with disabilities experience the wonderful world of climbing! For the months of July and August, customers will have the option to add $1 or $5 to any order to help assist climbers across the United States achieve their dreams and literally ascend to new heights! So if you want to assist these climbers out or simply wish to see Mason keep competing (and winning!) in international competitions, be sure to ask the front desk staff how you can help.
See you on the wall!
