Climbing For Good with Coeur Climbing

This holiday season, Coeur Climbing Company is proud to announce our Climbing For Good initiative—a community-focused effort to support our local neighbors through our shared love of climbing. This campaign highlights the importance of giving back to the area that has so warmly embraced our mission. We believe it’s our responsibility to use climbing as a way to create positive, lasting impact for others.

Partners Giving Back

As part of this initiative, we’ve partnered with several local organizations whose missions align with providing resources, mentorship, and support throughout our community. By working together, we hope to extend our passion for climbing far beyond the walls of our gym and help share this wonderful sport with everyone.

One meaningful example is our partnership with Peak 7 Adventures, where we’ve helped create a safe space for at-risk youth to explore climbing while also leading trash pickups in our local communities. Through Climbing for Good, we hope to spread generosity even further with more local organizations! Check out this page to learn more about these partners doing great work in our community.

Giving Day

We encourage our members and guests to connect with these organizations and discover how they can contribute—whether through time, resources, or simple acts of support. On Tuesday, December 2nd, consider getting involved as part of the worldwide Giving Day movement and help bring climbing, encouragement, and opportunity into the lives of others.

Join us this season as we work together to make a meaningful difference in our local community. Your support helps keep the spirit of climbing rooted in generosity, connection, and shared adventure.

Daniel Shaw

Daniel began climbing indoors in the 1990s but quickly took his passion outdoors. After earning degrees in Engineering and Earth Science Education, he worked as a climbing guide and coach while pursuing personal climbing goals. Moving to Coeur d’Alene in 2006, Daniel began planning his dream of a full-service climbing gym. Coeur Climbing Company is the result of over 20 years of dedication to bringing year-round climbing to his community.
