We are currently hiring for the following positions:
summer camp head counselor

STATUS: Seasonal (part time)
PAY: $14/hour
HOURS:
20-25 hours per week
Camp Dates: Monday-Friday, June 23 - August 22, 2025
Camp Time: 9am-12:30 pm (arriving 30 min. early and staying 15-30 min after)
Training will occur 1-3 weeks before camp begins for approximately 3 days
BENEFITS:
Free gym membership upon hire date
Upon completion of seasonal employment, membership will extend through 12/31/2025

A Summer Camp Head Counselor works on a seasonal part-time basis facilitating weekly summer camps. A Head Counselor oversees camp climbers, implements weekly camp schedules, and gives exceptional customer service to participants and parents. Head Counselors help create an exciting, playful, and safe environment while instilling a love for climbing in our campers! We are seeking self-motivated and enthusiastic applicants to join the Coeur Climbing team!

Develop camp ownership among Counselors to continually grow positive camp culture
Enforce Coeur Climbing policies in a friendly, patient, and respectful manner
Weekly Recurring Tasks
Bring energy and excitement to camp each week
Lead games and activities
Gain awareness of the skill level and needs of each staff member and camper
Interact with parents before and after camp
Ensure setup and breakdown of camp is completed daily
Lead weekly feedback meeting with Camp Counselors
Assist operations staff with summer camp gear and front desk summer camp needs

Must be 16 or older
Must have at least 2 years climbing experience and show a strong enthusiasm for climbing
Ability to work with a large group of kids, ages 5-14
Experience with coaching, programming, or facilitating required
Experience working with children is preferred, but not required
Ability to put immediate needs of participants first
Ability to command respect, enforce safe climbing practices, recognize unsafe conditions, and discuss any concerns with fellow counselors and campers in a professional manner

Comfortable working in a loud environment on a regular basis
Comfortable speaking in front of and providing instruction to large groups
Comfortable working at height, moving up and down a climbing wall
Comfortable continuously standing and walking on unstable and uneven surfaces for long periods of time
Able to repeatedly lift, move, and carry up to 50 lbs of weight on a regular basis
Able to balance, kneel, pull, push, and grasp objects as needed
Have the visual acuity to assess details such as harness buckles, knots, and belay technique

yoga instructor
STATUS: Part time
PAY: $25/hour (Most classes are 1 hour long with 5-10 minutes of set up and cleanup)
HOURS:
~2-8 hr/wk; training beginning Immediately
Hours of operation: Monday through Friday 10am-10pm, Sat 10am-7pm, Sunday 11am-7pm
BENEFITS:
4 free gym day pass/mo (provided the instructor teaches at least one class per week)
Upon completion of 6 months employment, full membership will be offered

This position is open to certified yoga instructors. Instructors are required to organize and facilitate their classes. Instructors are required to maintain and set up the yoga room prior to instruction and clean upon completion. Planning of class sequencing and music will be the responsibility of the instructor. Coeur Climbing Co will extend all class sessions as long as the signup exceeds 5 participants. If attendance consistently drops below this threshold, instructors will be asked to change their class time or drop the class. Instructors will have the ability to teach multiple classes per week depending on this criteria and in conjunction with other scheduling use of the studio. Instructors are encouraged to collaborate with Coeur Climbing Co. yoga coordinator and manager to ensure that the studio and the equipment meets their instruction needs.

Coeur Climbing Co is looking to employ experienced and certified yoga instructors with knowledge of the history, philosophy, and ethics of their craft. The yoga instructor is responsible for teaching and leading their class using clear verbal cues, accurate demonstration, with the ability to adapt the postures to the skill and accessibility of the student.
To ensure success as a yoga instructor, you should possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills in order to build relationships, as well as lead yoga classes. Your passion for health and wellness, coupled with knowledge of the anatomy of the human body and physiology, will ensure success.

HS Diploma or equivalent
A passion for yoga and general fitness
Climbing experience is not required; ability to tailor classes to the needs of our climbing community will be beneficial.
RYT-200, from a Yoga Alliance Certified School or equivalent certification
Minimum of 1 year experience required, 2 years or more preferred

climbing coach/instructor

The Coach/Instructor will lead and support climbing instruction, youth programs, and coaching sessions, ensuring a fun, engaging, and safe learning environment for climbers of all skill levels. Instructors will provide guidance on technique, strength training, and mental strategies while fostering a strong climbing community. Additionally, instructors will assist with facility operations and customer service as needed.

Lead and instruct youth and adult climbing programs, classes, and private coaching sessions.
Provide structured lesson plans and individualized feedback to climbers of all abilities.
Monitor climbing safety and enforce gym policies in a friendly and professional manner.
Conduct belay tests, auto-belay orientations, and introductory climbing lessons.
Communicate upcoming community events, clinics, and competitions with members.
Maintain a positive and welcoming atmosphere for climbers of all ages and experience levels.
Participate in staff meetings, training, and continuing education opportunities.
Assist with daily cleaning duties and facility upkeep to ensure a safe and organized environment.
Provide excellent customer service and answer questions about climbing, memberships, and programs.
