We understand that this might be your first time visiting a climbing gym, so we’ve compiled a list of important details and frequently asked questions to help you get started.

Climbing is an inherently risky activity that involves potential hazards, including falls, injuries, and accidents. By signing a waiver, participants acknowledge and accept the inherent risks associated with climbing. The waiver serves as a legal document that establishes that individuals understand and assume these risks voluntarily.
The waiver ensures that participants are informed about the potential risks and dangers involved in climbing. It allows the gym to communicate important safety information, rules, and guidelines to participants before they engage in any climbing activities. By signing the waiver, individuals confirm that they have received and understood this information.
You will be prompted to sign our waiver after creating your account.
We also highly recommend you download the Coeur Climbing portal app to your phone where you can sign your waiver, update household member details, and be ready for a streamlined check-in at the gym.

participants must check in at the front desk
no climbing barefoot
do not wear climbing shoes (or the shoes you’re climbing in) into the bathroom
no food or drink on climbing padding
no rigid items on climbing padding (water bottles, baby carriers, etc)
no running, yelling, gymnastics etc.
no one under 12 years old in the fitness area
do not climb above or below others. be aware of other climbers
participants under 14 years old must have supervision at all times
clean up after yourself
immediately report any problems with walls, equipment, or any other concerns to our staff

Not at all! We welcome climbers of all skill levels and offer introductory courses to help you get started.

We offer five types of indoor rock climbing terrain: bouldering, top rope climbing, lead climbing, auto belay climbing, and a designated kids area.

For bouldering, all you need is comfortable clothing and climbing shoes. For the other types of climbing, you will need a harness, climbing shoes, and a belay device. You can rent gear from us if you don’t have your own.

Yes, you can use your own gear, but it is your responsibility to ensure that it is fit for use and follow the manufacturer’s instructions on proper use and inspection.

For top rope climbing and lead climbing, you will need a partner. For bouldering and auto belay, you can climb solo.

Yes, anyone intending to climb with a rope will need to pass a specific test, given by our team. The tests vary depending on the type of climbing you want to do.

Climbing is an inherently dangerous sport that can result in serious injury or even death. If you ever have any questions or need help, please ask one of our friendly team members or take an introductory course. It is your responsibility to familiarize yourself with the rules of the gym to help mitigate risks.

Wear comfortable, flexible clothing that allows for a full range of motion. Avoid baggy clothing that may get caught in gear or obscure your view of your feet while climbing. Climbing shoes are required for all types of climbing.

Each climbing route, or problem, is identified by a specific starting hold and a V rating that indicates its difficulty. For top rope and lead climbing, our preset ropes indicate the routes. For bouldering, the problems are color-coordinated and marked with a difficulty rating.

Falling is a natural part of climbing, and while it can be scary, it’s not always dangerous. If you’re climbing with a rope, your partner will be able to catch you. For bouldering, we provide crash pads to reduce the impact of falls. We recommend climbing only to a height you’re comfortable falling from and trying to fall in a controlled manner.

Yes, you are welcome to bring your own food and drinks to the gym. However, no food or drink is allowed on climbing padding, and we ask that you clean up after yourself and dispose of any trash properly.
