Our Biggest Summer Event Is Just Around the Corner

Mark your calendars! We’re planning a climbing competition to celebrate our second birthday on June 28. If you’ve participated in one of our friendly bouldering competitions before, you know they’re an absolute blast, and one of the top indoor climbing events in the Post Falls area. Even if you just attend as a spectator, it’s a great opportunity to cheer on other climbers, see some seriously awesome climbing, enjoy food together, and soak up the community vibes. Plus we’ll be raffling off some amazing prize bundles! Here’s the event breakdown.

Event Overview

  • Rock the Anniversary Bouldering Bash

  • Coeur Climbing Company in Post Falls, Idaho

  • Comp format: bouldering

  • Enjoy other fun activities, raffles, music, food, and beverages!

Don’t assume you have to be an upper-level climber to participate in the competition People of all levels are welcome, and in fact you couldn’t wish for a more supportive environment to test your skills Plus, it’s a great way to watch and learn from people who are more advanced. New climbers can easily rent gear for a small fee. If you’re considering participating, don’t hesitate– do it!

How it Works

This on-your-honor competition will feature comp boulders placed around the gym, each with assigned points.

  • The values of the boulder routes will be clearly marked on the gym walls. 

  • Participants will have approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes to climb as many designated routes as possible. 

  • Enter the route number and point value on the front for each route completed. 

  • All participants must have another competitor initial their card for each successful boulder to be scored. Cards without initials will not be counted towards your final score. 

  • Once finished, tally up the points of the three highest routes you were able to complete and enter in the spot provided on the front. 

  • Return your card to the front desk.

  • Winners and prizes will be announced later during the event!

Prizes and Awards

We’ll give prizes to the first and second place winners in each category:

  • 12 and under

  • 13-18 male

  • 13-18 female

  • 18-39 male 

  • 18-39 female 

  • Over 39 male

  • Over 39 female

All attendees will get two raffle tickets and swag, with an extra raffle ticket going to those wearing their Coeur Climbing merch!

Winner announcements

  • Category winners will be announced at noon

  • We’ll also be handing out awards for those competing in activities, including grip challenge, rope stack, knot untie/retie, and autobelay race. Winners will be announced throughout the event.

  • The raffle tickets will give you a chance to win one of three awesome prize bundles– you must be present to win, so make sure you stick around! We’ll draw for these prize bundles at 12:30, 1, and 1:30.
