Is a Climbing Membership Worth It?

Wondering whether you should climb with a day pass, ten-punch pass, or membership? Great question! We’re breaking down the costs, benefits, and savings to help you decide which one is the best fit for you.

Comparing the Cost: Membership vs. Day Passes

  • Day pass: $20 for adults, $14 for youth – great for occasional climbers or visitors. Day passes include full access to unlimited rope climbing, bouldering, and fitness equipment.

  • Ten-punch pass: $160 for adults, $120 for youth – saves $40 over ten visits and offers flexibility with no expiration date. You can even SHARE a punch pass (it’s transferable)!

  • Membership: The best value if you climb more than once a week.

    • Most convenient? Monthly autopay. Auto-billed monthly. Adult membership $70/mo

    • Best value? Annual prepaid. Adult membership $649 (that’s $54/mo!)

    • Lowest commitment? Monthly prepaid. Does not auto renew. Adult membership $85/mo

We offer special membership pricing for students, military, first responders, youth and families.

Membership Perks Beyond Cost Savings

A membership doesn’t just save you money—it also comes with extra perks. In addition to unlimited access to rope climbing, bouldering, and fitness equipment, membership includes:

  • Unlimited FREE yoga classes (registration is required)

  • FREE scheduled first top rope belay class, if you need one

  • FREE top rope belay and auto belay tests

  • One FREE guest pass per month

  • FREE first-time guest passes (limit 2 guests per visit)

  • FREE age 3 and under family add-ons

  • 10% off retail purchases

  • 10% off birthday parties

  • Complimentary rental equipment package the first month (shoes, harness & chalk bag) with annual prepaid membership

  • Exclusive partner offers – check out the whole list of members-only offers.

If you’re committed to improving your climbing, a membership is the easiest way to stay consistent and make progress.

Factoring in Your Schedule

We get it—life is busy, and not everyone can climb every day. If you’re unsure how often you’ll use your membership, consider:

  • How many times per month you can realistically climb.

  • Whether you want access to extra perks like yoga and discounts.

  • If you’d prefer the flexibility of a punch pass over a monthly commitment.

Making the Best Choice for You

Choosing the right option depends on how often you plan to climb and what benefits you value most.

  • Climbing once a month or less? A day pass makes sense. Gear rental is extra (but still inexpensive at just $8 for shoes, harness, and chalk bag).

  • Climbing 2-3 times a month? A ten-punch pass saves money and allows flexibility.

  • Climbing once a week or more? A membership offers the most value.

Still unsure? You can always start out buying individual day passes and then evaluate what makes sense for you. Our staff can also answer any questions you have!
