COEUR CLIMBING HOSTS FILM PREMIERE FOR ADAPTIVE CLIMBING

Join Us for an Evening of Inspiration

Mark your calendars for September 13, 2024, as Coeur Climbing Co presents “Ascension,” a short film that chronicles the incredible journey of local climber Mason Keough. Directed by Thomas Wesley, this heartwarming film will be shown at our climbing gym and promises to be both inspiring and enlightening.

Mason’s Story of Resilience

Mason Keough’s story is a powerful example of resilience and determination. After losing multiple fingers in a workplace accident, Mason defied expectations by continuing to climb, not just surviving but thriving. His journey is one of transformation, showcasing how climbing can be a path to empowerment.

As a dedicated member of our climbing community, Mason’s determination to overcome challenges and push new limits—both in climbing and in life—serves as an inspiring reminder that obstacles can be conquered with grit and passion. “Ascension” captures his struggles, triumphs, and the joy that climbing brings him, making this film a must-watch for everyone.

Promoting Inclusive Climbing

At Coeur Climbing Co, we are committed to making climbing accessible to all. This event aims to raise awareness about adaptive climbing, showing how the sport welcomes individuals with physical and mental challenges. Climbing is for everyone, and this evening is a celebration of the adaptive climbing community.

We’re proud to partner with organizations like Courageous Kids, Spokane Parasports, and Adaptive Adventures PNW to spotlight the importance of breaking down barriers for people with disabilities. Together, we’ll demonstrate that climbing is a transformative activity that transcends physical limitations.
